It’s a statement centrepiece, a highly photographed moment of your day and a guest talking point. Traditionally cutting the cake is your first official duty as a married couple. And good cake, will have your guests asking for seconds.
Investment & Pricing Guide Section
As every wedding cake is a bespoke design to complement your style, venue and vision for your day, prices can vary. I have listed a pricing guide based on size of cake, how many portions that serves and finish. This is a guide only and the complexity of design will contribute to the final quote.

From first enquiry,
to final slice
At Lou’s Cake Design the journey is designed to be relaxed, enjoyable and beautifully bespoke.
STEP 1 - Secure your date
The wedding diary opens 2 years in advance. With summer months, Saturdays and bank holidays booking up fastest. Begin by sending an enquiry with your wedding date & venue (and if you know approx guest numbers, that’s helpful also) Once availability is confirmed, you’ll receive my wedding brochure. A booking fee of £70 secures your date and locks in pricing. No other finer details are needed at this stage.
STEP 2 - order your SAMPLE BOX
Approximately a year before your wedding, we would arrange a sample box to pick your flavours. You would pick 6 flavours from the wedding menus to try. The sample box can be collected from myself or posted to addresses across UK/Ireland. A sample box is part of the wedding experience at Lou’s Cake design, so is included in prices. (Postage or additional boxes will be an extra charge)
step 3 - consultation
2-3 months before the wedding we will arrange your consultation appointment. This is an opportunity to design the look of the cake, discuss the vision for your special day, confirm all details and the all important logistics. This can be done as a meeting at my home or over a video chat, whichever you prefer.
step 4 - your wedding day
I deliver your wedding cake to your venue and set it up to the specifications we have discussed. You have a relaxed day knowing that your cake has been taken care of by an experienced professional and can be confident that your guests will enjoy delicious cake.
